Pedestrian Robbed in South London

A London Police Service media release:

On Monday August 8, 2011 at approximately 11:57PM London Police responded to a report of a robbery in the area of High St. and Grand Ave.

The victim was walking in the area when he was approached by the lone male suspect. The suspect assaulted the victim by punching him once in the back of the head. The suspect then demanded the victim’s property and produced a knife.

The suspect fled the area on a blue bicycle after obtaining the victim’s property and was last seen heading northbound on Wellington Rd.

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident and did not require medical attention.

Police are looking for a suspect described as a white male, 20-25 years of age, 6’1”, 145-165lbs, clean shaven, slim build, short brown hair, wearing a blue t-shirt with a Detroit Tigers emblem and blue jeans.
