Downtown Stabbing

A London Police Service media release:

A 23-year-old London man is in custody after a stabbing in London’s downtown.

On Monday September 19, 2011 at approximately 2:23 p.m., London Police responded to a disturbance in the area of Dundas Street and Richmond Street. Police located a 26-year-old male suffering from a single stab wound to his lower back. He was sent to hospital with injuries described as non life threatening.

Police took a male in to custody and have now charged 23-year-old Otto Duran with:

  • Aggravated assault, contrary to section 268(2) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Assault with a weapon, contrary to section 267(a) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
  • Possess a weapon dangerous to the public peace contrary to section 88 (1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.
